KDOC Carlisle Release Outcomes
A Carlisle County conviction can lead to state custody even though Carlisle does not operate the state system. Kentucky Department of Corrections prisoners may live in a KDOC institution or a county-jail bed under a state placement. The county of conviction, physical location, and county of supervision are separate facts.
When KDOC incarceration ends, the person may enter parole, mandatory reentry supervision, conditional discharge, or sentence expiration. Parole is supervised release before sentence expiration under Parole Board authority. Mandatory reentry supervision places qualifying people into a supervised release period near projected completion under state law. Conditional discharge can continue legal duties after confinement. A transfer between a county-jail bed and a prison is not community release.
Confirm Kentucky Corrections Release
Kentucky Online Offender Lookup, or KOOL, is the statewide public search. It is not a Carlisle County jail roster. Start with little data, then use identifiers and case details to separate people with similar names.
- Search by last and first name, or use the PID/DOC number when known.
- Compare the conviction county, offender type, supervision status, and current location.
- Open the individual record and quote each date by its exact KOOL label.
- Review the parole-history table for hearing action and any proposed release date.
- Use KDOC’s release document or open-records route to confirm a past event.

State the access purpose in neutral terms and protect sensitive identifiers when sharing copies.
KDOC Sentence Date Labels
KOOL uses “Projected Release Date From/To” as a search filter, then uses more precise labels on individual records. Those labels must not be collapsed into one promised date. Sentence calculations can change through credits, forfeitures, added judgments, corrected jail credit, detainers, parole action, or other lawful changes.

State the field exactly, the date it displayed, and when it was accessed. For a past release, replace a projection with the actual release record.
KDOC Carlisle Search Fields
The live KOOL search supports names, aliases, photo-only results, DOC and PID numbers, offender type, supervision status, location type, location, county of supervision, and age or demographic filters. It also supports conviction and offense details, institution or supervision begin dates, escape or abscond dates, and a projected-release-date range.

The official KOOL information page warns that information is not guaranteed and that newer data may not be finalized. Its FAQ gives a more specific update cadence and notes that not all photos or convictions appear. Treat a public result as a lead and current-status source, not a certified record.
KDOC Carlisle Supervision Status
Kentucky separates parole decisions from field supervision. The Kentucky Parole Board decides parole matters. KDOC’s Division of Probation and Parole supervises people in the community. KOOL bridges them through supervision status, county of supervision, district or office location, supervision begin date, abscond notation, and parole history.
District 1 serves Carlisle County and other western counties. A location naming District 1, Paducah, Mayfield, or another supervision office indicates an administrative assignment, not incarceration in that office. Call the district with the PID/DOC number to confirm which office administers the record rather than choosing a satellite office by distance.

KDOC Daily Carlisle Releases
KDOC’s research and statistics material can publish daily state-system releases with fields such as name, inmate number, release date, institution or releasing location, release type, sentence length, and supervision location. A county jail can appear as a releasing location when it holds a state prisoner.
A daily KDOC list is not a Carlisle County bond-out feed. It excludes ordinary local pretrial releases and dismissals outside state custody. It also must not be relabeled as a local 24-hour or 72-hour list. Use it to support a state release, then match the PID/DOC number and individual KOOL record.
KDOC Release Date Changes
Kentucky sentence credit law can affect the minimum-expiration calculation. KRS 197.045 addresses specified credits and their forfeiture or restoration. A good-time date remains conditional because conduct, program completion, forfeiture, restoration, new sentences, detainers, and corrected jail credit can alter the result.
KRS 439.3401 sets special rules for defined violent offenders, including service thresholds in covered cases. Do not calculate a percentage from an offense label alone. The exact KRS code, conviction, findings, offense date, and current statute version matter. Parole eligibility means the Board may consider release. It does not promise that release will occur on that date.
Mandatory reentry supervision under KRS 439.3406 is another reason the date a person reaches the community can differ from projected sentence completion. The statute contains eligibility rules and exclusions. Confirm its application through KDOC rather than applying a general formula.
KDOC County-Jail Bed Releases
A state prisoner housed in a county-jail bed remains a state-system case for sentence and discharge purposes. The physical jail can document movement at its door, while KOOL and KDOC hold the state status and release framework. Ask both custodians when the precise handoff matters.
This differs from a local pretrial or misdemeanor booking at the same jail. A local release may result from bond, dismissal, time served, or a court order and may never appear in KOOL. Do not apply KDOC’s sentence labels or state credit calculation to a local jail booking.
Verify KDOC Carlisle Identity
Compare the PID/DOC number, full name, aliases, age or birth information, conviction county, indictment number, and sentence details. A photo indicator can aid matching, but a corrections photograph does not establish guilt, present custody, or the outcome of every case. Only a limited number of convictions may display.
If KOOL conflicts with a court record, preserve both identifiers and contact the correct custodian. KDOC addresses offender-data issues. The Carlisle court addresses its docket under court procedures. A county jail addresses its booking fields. Different update schedules can explain some conflicts, but the originating office must resolve an actual error.
State KDOC Release Precisely
A careful result quotes the exact status, location, and date label and records the access date. It does not turn parole eligibility into a release promise or call a transfer a discharge. For an old event, request the release record and state the official release type.
If the record shows supervision, verify the county and office. If it names another custodian, follow that agency. If KOOL returns no match, recheck identity and the custody system rather than assuming the person was released.
